Welcome to the White Cliffs Walking Festival 2022
A Walking Celebration
We're proud to announce that our 2022 White Cliffs Walking Festival will be taking place from 25th to 30th August.
Walking is a healthy, accessible and enjoyable form of exercise and we at White Cliffs Ramblers are fortunate to be able to walk regularly in this beautiful and historic area of Kent - recently identified by Lonely Planet as 4th on a list of the world’s best regions to visit in 2022 - with its many miles of public rights of way, not only along the coast, but also in the rural Downlands, orchards, woods and valleys within easy reach.
Our Festival aims to showcase the scenic delights, history and natural history of our area through a variety of walks suitable for all ages and abilities. Each day there'll be a choice of walks of varying lengths and ranging from easy short walks to more demanding longer walks, as well as a number of guided visits to local places of interest. Whichever walks you choose to take part in, our experienced volunteers will welcome you, guide you and be available to tell you more about our year-round walks programme too. Most walks will be free of charge though we welcome donations if you would like to contribute to covering the cost of organising the Festival.
We look forward to seeing you in August!

What Three Words
What Three Words (W3W) is a way of precisely defining a location anywhere in the World. This year The White Cliffs
Festival will be using W3W to help walkers find the departure location of each walk.
To find out more about W3W,
download the W3W app or view a map of the departure point click on the Find Out More link below.

Kent Heritage Coast
The Lonely Planet voted the Kent Hertitage Coast the 4th best region to visit in the world for 2022. We, of course, already knew but it is now official. Don't worry though there is plenty of space and a very 'big sky'.

We Welcome Walkers
When the festival is over, try a walk with White Cliffs Ramblers, the friendly walking group.
